Right-wing parties are gaining momentum in Italy, Finland, Sweden, Germany and Austria. Is Europe sliding politically to the right and why? Chairman of the state party FPÖ and deputy of LH. (Lower Austria) Udo Landbauer says in a conversation with Tanja Pfaffeneder that it can be called the advance of the right-wing parties.
“We always said everything that went wrong. Whether it is Corona or the immigration issue. People recognize this, they are confronted with the problems. That is also why parties like the FPÖ or the AfD are so successful in Germany and are successful in the elections,” said Landbauer.
State Governor or Deputy Governor, Mr. Landbauer?
Lower Austria has laid down gender rules in law firm regulations since August 1. Women and men were given equal linguistic status; “gender star”, “gender gap”, “gender colon” and “internal I” have been omitted. But what should you call Udo Landbauer? “I would like to ask the deputy governor to begin his remarks,” an FPÖ spokesperson announced at the time. But Landbauer does not represent a man, but a woman. The correct name would be: “deputy governor”. The website of the state of Lower Austria states: “LH deputy”.
When asked about this, Landbauer said he never had a problem with being called “vice governor”: “That’s something I’ve never discussed and never questioned.” It was about the discussion about the gender decree in the state service. Gender language is no longer used there, no more and no less.”
Of course, Austria also has other concerns. You can watch the entire interview in the video above.
