After entering the “new phase” of relations between the Basque and Spanish governments, Denis Itxaso has stated that the aim is to transfer, in this legislature, the pending powers of the Statute of Gernika to the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV ).
In an interview for the program “Boulevard” on Radio Euskadi, the representative of the Spanish government in the BAC acknowledged that the transfer of Social Security It is one of the most difficult among the remaining ones because it would be the first time that an autonomous government has taken over the administration of the autonomous regime and because it would set a precedent for other autonomous communities.
At least he emphasized that “the single box does not break” and what is being debated in any case is how the autonomous government can take on the management of the economic regime.
On the other hand, Itxaso trusts that the three competitions agreed with the PNV – shuttle trains, the homologation of foreign university degrees and reception – so that they are transferred in March and arrive on time. After last Tuesday’s meeting between the Basque and Spanish governments, Itxaso explained that the three cases will be worked on in parallel and that the investment agreements will be fulfilled.
