Jelinek is taking vacation this week, as ORF has confirmed. But not only ‘Fit with Philipp’ has to take a break, Jelinek’s announced performance with Barbara Stöckl was also cancelled.
Turner Philipp Jelinek is said to have spied on ORF internals in exchange for getting his own show.
Jelinek became known to a wider audience during the Corona pandemic through his broadcast on ORF.
Explosive chats surfaced shortly before Easter
Shortly before Easter, chat logs emerged intended to prove how the FPÖ leadership, including Strache, Harald Vilimsky and Norbert Steger, wanted to chart the course for ORF in 2019.
A list of names inside and outside the ORF identified as blue representatives of the FPÖ seats are traded in the chats as candidates for top positions. The WhatsApp messages also reveal embarrassing compliments from some former members of the ORF management team.
