During a summit conference in Vienna on Friday, Chancellor Karl Nehammer will discuss the EU’s objectives and priorities for the next five years with five other heads of state and government. The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, will also participate.
Nehammer had invited people for informal discussions about the EU’s “Strategic Agenda”. “It is important for me to have an active say at the forefront when it comes to the future of the EU and the priorities for the coming years,” explained the Chancellor, who looked forward to “productive discussions”.
In addition to Council President Michel, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Maltese Prime Minister Robert Abela, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob and Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulidis have also confirmed their participation, according to information from the Federal Chancellery.
According to the LETA news agency, Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina, who was also invited, canceled her participation at short notice due to her busy schedule.
