EITB Focus has asked about some of the issues that will mark the new term in the European Parliament, such as migration policy, the energy transition or the creation of a European army.
The new European parliament that satisfies after the June 9 elections will have to deal with issues such as immigration policy. EITB focus asked about it, and a 77.4% believe that the European Union’s migration policy is not or barely adequate.
Citizens are also divided on this subject. While 35.7% believe that immigration policy should be tightened, 30% think the opposite: that it should be softened. It is striking that the younger people, between 18 and 35 years old, is the one who is most in favor of tightening this policy. This is indicated by 44.4%.
When it comes to sustainable development and the energy transition, 82.1% of respondents believe that Europe should lead these policies. When asked about the formation of a European army, 69% are against.

1,200 people living in the BAC and Navarre were interviewed in preparation for the EITB Focus survey (300 in each historical area and in the regional community).
The fieldwork was carried out from May 14 to 17via a telephone interview.
