The 15 advisors appointed this Saturday by Lehendakari Imanol Pradales to form the committee new Basque government will take their new positions this Tuesday, June 25, at an event that will take place in the Ajuria Enea Palace in Vitoria-Gasteiz.

Second Vice President
For his part, the mayor of Portugalete (Bizkaia), the Socialist Mikel Torreswill participate this Monday in the last municipal plenary session, during which it will come into force his resignation from his position to become vice-president of the Basque government under the chairmanship of Imanol Pradales, councilor since 1995 and mayor since 2008, will be replaced by Maria José Blancowho will serve as acting mayor until the PSE-EE appoints the new mayor.
Solemn ceremony in Gernika
The new lehendakari Imanol Pradales was sworn in and took office this Saturday during a solemn ceremony at the Gernika Board House, accompanied by the 75 parliamentarians of the Basque Chamber, the Basque and Spanish institutional representation, as well as family members.
These are the advisors to the new Basque government:
Ibone Bengoetxea Otaolea (Bilbao, 1967) becomes the first deputy lehendakari and Minister of Culture and Language Policy.
Mikel Torres Lorenzo (Portugalete, 1970) in turn becomes second vice president and advisor of Economy, Labor and Employment.
Noël d’Anjou Olaizola (Irun, 1975) The Basque executive also joined in. The irundarra will head the Treasury and Finance Department.
The positions of spokesperson will be abolished María Ubarrechena Cid (Urretxu, 1980). She will also hold the position of Minister of Administration, Digital Governance and Self-Government.
Mikel Jauregi Letemendia (Zarautz, 1974) becomes Minister of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability.
One of the names they repeat in the government is that of Bingen Zupiria Gorostidi (Hernani, 1961). He becomes security advisor in the Pradales government.
Begoña Pedrosa Lobato (Areatza, 1975) becomes Minister of Education. During the last term, Pedrosa served as deputy advisor to the department.
Denis Itxaso González (Donostia-San Sebastián, 1975) will head one of the new departments. He will become Minister of Housing and Urban Agenda.
One of the departments that Pradales wants to promote is Health, which will be owned Alberto Martinez Ruiz (Trapagaran, 1964).
Nerea Melgosa Vega (Vitoria-Gasteiz, 1970) repeats as counselor, although this time she will head the Welfare, Youth and Demographic Challenge department.
Susana Garcia Chueca (Donostia-San Sebastián, 1969), becomes Minister of Sustainable Mobility.
One of the new branches of this legislature will be the one to provide leadership Juan Ignacio Perez Iglesias (Salamanca, 1960). It will be Science, Universities and Innovation.
Javier Hurtado Dominguez (Madrid, 1981) repeats as Minister of Tourism, Trade and Consumption.
Amaia Barredo Martin (Donostia-San Sebastián, 1970) joined the Basque government as Minister of Food, Rural Development and Fisheries.
María Jesús San José López (Sestao, 1966) will hold the Justice and Human Rights portfolio.
