Viennese ÖVP councillor Laura Sachslehner calls for the abolition of the climate bonus for asylum seekers. “The fact that the climate bonus is still being paid to asylum seekers is unfair and antisocial. It is completely incomprehensible that people who may not even be living in Austria receive such benefits,” Sachslehner criticised on X.
Sachslehner calls for a comprehensive reform of the climate bonus and an end to benefits for asylum seekers, which should be included in the next government program.
“Determined fight against illegal migration”
“This unjust system must not continue under any circumstances. Instead of financing an additional pull factor with the climate bonus for asylum seekers and thus attracting even more people to Austria, we finally need a determined fight against illegal migration and appropriate aid for the actual service providers in our country,” Sachslehner emphasized.
“It is high time that this completely misguided watering can policy, largely fueled by the Greens, finally comes to an end. Everything else is a mockery of the hardworking people in our country,” Sachslehner demands.
