This is explained by the jeltzales in the Alderdi Eguna that is celebrated today on the fields of Foronda.
The PNV will complete its internal renewal process on the weekend of March 29 and 30, 2025 during the National Assembly held in San Sebastián.
It will be there when it will be decided who will become the party’s new Euzkadi Buru Batzar, and who will be its president. The current one, Andoni Ortuzar, has left the decision on his future in the hands of the bases.
CALENDAR:
January 20 – February 2: Jeltzale members must nominate a president and six burukides in their batzokis.
February 10 – February 26: People who receive the support of at least three batzokis advance to this second round. Here again a president and eight burukids will be elected.
February 27 – March 26: Each batzoki must represent the people chosen in this second round.
Ortuzar presented to the members the five political documents that, after preparation in October and November, resolution proposals can be submitted until March 10, and which will be finally approved at the General Assembly on March 29 and 30.
These are the five political documents on the table: ‘Euskadi, Nation in Europe: sovereignty, identity and political objectives’; ‘Building a Prosperous Nation to Be Freer: Social Justice and the Guarantee of Civil Rights’; ‘A nation open to a better, sustainable and peaceful world’; ‘EAJ-PNV, a party at the service of a people: ties with Basque citizens’; ‘A democratic, militant and agile organization to respond to the political and social challenges of Euskadi’.
