The news portal ‘Politico’ has declared Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni the most powerful personality in Europe. Since her election, the Italian has undergone a remarkable change.
As head of government, Meloni “kept her anti-EU rhetoric to a minimum and avoided conflict with Brussels,” becoming “one of Ukraine’s most outspoken supporters,” the magazine wrote.
In less than a decade, the right-wing leader of the Fratelli d’Italia party has risen to become Italy’s first female head of government and “established herself as a figure with whom Brussels and now Washington can do business.”
The news portal listed the main phases of Meloni’s political career, emphasizing that she led “one of the most stable governments in Italy’s post-war period.”
