Eklat during a Holocaust Memorial event in the German city of Saarbrücken: during a speech by the Jewish publicist and philosopher Michel Friedman, an intermediate range came from the Saarland AfD -parliamentary group leader Josef Dörr, then he left the hall. Friedman received applause from the public for his response.
Friedman warned on Monday on the occasion of the International Holocaust Memorial Day or the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp on vigilance for anti-democratic troops. Jewish life is “threatened in Germany because it wasn’t in decades,” said Friedman.
The German French also attacked the AfD without mentioning the party. “Every fifth German chooses a party that says some people are nobody,” Friedman warned. This party hates, despise people and disqualified people. In Germany, hatred against Jews had become socially acceptable again.
In the AfD Friedman Anti -Democratic tendencies see that the party is based on Neo -Nazis. This is not much different in Saarland, because here too “this strange party of hatred, which calls itself democratically and wants to destroy democracy,” is represented.
That was too much for Josef Dörr, sitting in the first series of spectators. The chairman of the AfD -parliamentary group of the Saarland disrupted Friedman’s speech with the intervene: “Stay moderated”. The politician then left the event.
Friedman immediately opposed and applause from the public: “If they only talked about people who want to remigrate so moderately … Maybe it would not be bad if they listened and not leave the room.”
