US President Donald Trump will extend the deadline for the sale of the Tiiktok Online Platform by the Chinese parent company Bytedance by 90 days, according to the White House.
Trump will “sign another decree this week to get a bit,” said his spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt Tuesday (local time). Trump “does not want Tikkok disappear from the scene,” Leavitt added.
It would already be the third postponement that Trump grants for a Tikok sale. Trump had already exposed the exile of the online platform of the app stores in the US for the first time after he took office. At the beginning of April he then extended them with another 75 days.
Tikok threatens a ban in the United States such as Bytedance does not sell popular video platform, especially with adolescents. A day before Trump’s office took office in January, a law in the United States prescribed for the sale. The background is accusations of the American authorities, the Chinese group abused taps in the Beijing service to spy on its users.
