Pol Lozano signs up for “I believe”

Date:

Pol Lozano, who played the first minutes of the season at Anoeta by jumping onto the pitch in the 85th minute to substitute Vini Souza, has joined the group of those who believe that Espanyol’s points so far are far from the merits that the team contracted in the first six league games.

Speaking to the club’s media, the footballer admitted that “our game does not translate into points. But we also know that in this way, being serious in many stages of the game, the points will come, we are convinced. We have to go with the mentality of winning all the games.”

And for this, the support of the fans is also key, and despite the results this season (at home, three defeats in three games), they feel that they identify with the team: “The truth is that we have few points and we need our people, which gives us a plus that maybe in other fields is not felt so much. The encouragement that the fans give you is so important, it’s key that we all come together to do important things this year.”

Regarding his debut this year, he recalled that “I haven’t been able to compete for a few weeks and haven’t been training much with the rest of my teammates. But the illusion of debuting soon helped me to be the best possible and the truth is that I had a good feeling. Now let’s hope to recover,” he added.

And finally, and in relation to the impact of the league break on the team, he explained that “it will be fine for us redirect our head, adjust the coach’s ideas, work on what you can’t work too much during the Liga weeks because of the speed of the competition… The intention is to do everything possible to get to the Valencia match in good condition”, Espanyol’s next rival in RCDE Stadium.
