Spanish cycling team Kern Pharma announced this Friday the continuation of up to eight of its cyclists for the next two seasons, until 2025: Jon Agirre (Zumaia, 1997), Kiko Galván (Lliçà d’Amunt, 1997), Carlos García (Tres Cantos, 1999), Álex Jaime (Sarrià de Ter, 1998), Jordi López (Badalona, 1998) , Martí Márquez (Llinars del Vallès, 1996), Ibon Ruiz (Vitoria, 1999) and the Dutchman Danny van der Tuuk (Assen, 1999).
“This is a project committed to sustainability”, assured Juanjo Oroz, general manager of the Kern Pharma group, in a statement issued by the Navarrese group, which “remains firm in its commitment to youth” in the renewal of these eight cyclists, cyclists “impregnating values ” of the Cycling group with only three seasons in the elite of world cycling.
“In their daily work they show us that they are ready to continue taking steps forward, something that is very important to us.. They are cyclists who in these two years have given us their trust and now we want to return it, because our goal is to build a great team,” added Oroz in the statement.
As the manager explained, in 2023 the Kern Pharma Team “will be more structured” after “defining the internal roles” of the development: “These eight runners have earned a place in the formation and their duty is none other than to seek the common good.
