Claudia Pina confesses what hurts her most about everything about the national team

Date:

The FC Barcelona midfielder Claudia Pina delves into several current topics in her interview with MD, including everything she’s experienced in the past few months with the national team.

For the body to respond, the head must also be ready. How do you feel mentally after a few tough months because of the national team?

Well, at present I am quite calm and confident in myself, and looking forward to face this season.

What has been the worst in recent months after giving up the World Cup?

In the end, I think to give up a World Cup, which is ultimately a dream for every soccer player. I think in the end that hurts the most.

How did you experience your Sub 23 call-up without declaring yourself worthy, like Mapi and Patri did in the senior team?

Well, in the end I was surprised, but because of the fact that I felt uncallable or unavailable and nothing, I spent a day and a half there, when the senior meeting ends they explained to me and I didn’t feel, or I. I believe it shouldn’t be there, that’s why I fought all these months to make everything I sacrificed worth, I think. As I felt better I came back.

Do you need psychological help?

Well, I don’t have a personal psychologist. Sometimes I talk to Marc, the guy from the club, and when I think of something I need to say. I can talk about it with him or even with trusted people in my family, like my mother for example, I can talk to her and at least vent. Obviously it doesn’t help me psychologically, but the ability to speak and be calmer and more comfortable, but I think it’s very important in sport in general to have a good head so you can perform at your 100%.

What must happen to return?

Well, I think there are various important changes and no, once those changes are over I would like to play for my national team.
