Frankfurt mayor Peter Feldmann, was now forced to resign from the leadership of his Social Democratic Party (SPD) for sexism and inappropriate behavior during his trip last week to Seville with Eintracht in the European final League.
Feldmann’s behavior “does not match the dignity of his position and the image of the city,” according to SPD sources, after a meeting held Monday by the party leadership in the election district.
The SPD’s reaction follows the release this weekend of a video recorded on the Eintracht flight to Seville in which the mayor declared that the airline’s stewardesses had “knocked out my hormones.”

His party’s reaction to these revelations follows the turmoil caused last weekend when Eintracht returned to their city after winning the Europa League final against Rangers Glasgow on penalties.
While heading to the town hall balcony, the mayor snatched the newly winning cup from captain Sebastian Rode and manager, Oliver Glasner, to appear carrying the trophy in front of a crowd of fans waiting for his team.
Even before knowing what had happened on the flight to Seville, Feldmann had already been the target of criticism from the entire political type of consistory.
Eintracht, for its part, has announced today that the mayor is not welcome in his stadium box.
