It is common that when we go shopping, travel or go somewhere between work and home, we leave some of our belongings in the car while we do the relevant errands or tasks.
A common practice that
it can be very expensive. If we decide to keep our laptop in the trunk while we go out, for example to have a drink after work, it is possible that when we return to our car we discover that it has disappeared.
The development of technologies has also enabled thieves to progress, who manage to develop their methods of accessing our belongings.
One of the ways they need to detect if there are electronic devices such as laptops, tablets or even mobile phones in a car has to do with a common element: the
lithium battery.
In addition to being able to know if there are any juicy devices in the vehicle that can be stolen thanks to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, there are now lithium detectors that give thieves the assurance that there is something in that car to take.
These types of devices require the thief to get close to the car, which is why they often hang out in parking lots.
To avoid getting angry,
The ideal is not to leave these kinds of precious items in the carwhich often reach prices above 1,000 euros.
If we have no other choice, good advice is to leave our computer completely off or leave the mobile in airplane mode so that the connections cannot be detected.
However, this would by no means rule out possible detection by lithium trackers, a growing practice among the smartest thieves.
