Date:

This data also supports citizens’ and businesses’ commitment to motorcycles and light vehicles for all the benefits they represent in today’s mobility.

The electric motorcycle and moped market ended the year on a very positive note, growing 30.3% and selling 15,431 units, according to Anesdor (National Association of Two-Wheel Sector Companies). This figure rises to 17,103 units if we include microcars, tricycles and other special electric vehicles in the equation. Over the past decade, the experienced increase is 1,105%, from 1,533 units in 2013 to 17,103 in 2022.

This data supports the commitment of citizens and businesses to be ahead of motorcycles and light vehicles
all the benefits that with current mobility: the less public space they take up (respectively three and five times less than a moving car and parking); its contribution to the improvement of traffic and its low emissions.

In view of the latter, and in view of the recently introduced low-emission zones in all major cities, as this group carries the DGT label ‘0 emissions’.

For this reason, we from Anesdor look to the future with optimism, with forecasts for 2023 allowing the sector to grow by 4.3%, more than 210,000 units registered. concrete measures on the enginethat is the great omission of this guide.

The motorcycle and light vehicle sector in Spain has closed 2022 with very positive figures. Last year 202,293 units were registered, an increase of 4.6% compared to 2021. This reaches the figures of 2019, before the coronavirus crisis, when 202,079 units were registered and the milestone of crossing for the first time since 2008, the border of 200,000 units.

By category, scooters remain the most demanded and highest volume segment for another year, with 96,644 units, a 13.3% growth from 2021. The motorcycle is flat, with a slight decrease of 1, 2%, with 78,880 units and mopeds with 15,701 units were down 11.5%.

For their part, small displacements, from 51 to 125 cc, have again had the largest weight in the industry in 2022, with 89,239 units and a growth of 10.3%.
