Electric motorcycles grow by 30% in view of low emission zones

The electric motorcycle and moped market ended the year on a very positive note, growing 30.3% and selling 15,431 units, according to Anesdor (National Association of Two-Wheel Sector Companies). This figure rises to 17,103 units if we include microcars, tricycles and other special electric vehicles in the equation. Over the past decade, the experienced increase is 1,105%, from 1,533 units in 2013 to 17,103 in 2022.

The motorcycle and light vehicle sector in Spain has closed 2022 with very positive figures. Last year 202,293 units were registered, an increase of 4.6% compared to 2021. For their part, small displacements, from 51 to 125 cc, have again had the largest weight in the industry in 2022, with 89,239 units and a growth of 10.3%.
