The director was summoned at 22:23 on Wednesday for a dispute between a drunk and three young people in Lustenau. When police arrived on the scene, they immediately recognized the drunk as a 25-year-old man known to the station. As soon as he saw the officers, he acted hot-tempered and aggressive. He took off his pants and T-shirt and repeatedly threatened the police to “go crazy now”.
With his forehead on the asphalt
As the 25-year-old continued to rage and could not be calmed, he was warned. The officers also announced the arrest. It had to be fastened to the ground with physical force. He slammed his forehead against the asphalt several times to injure himself. The man continued his recalcitrant behavior at the police station.
Consulted a doctor referred him to the state hospital in Rankweil. A police patrol monitored the transport. The officials should not have been surprised by the alcohol test. This resulted in a blood alcohol level of 2.76 permille in the blood.
