Most experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency have already left the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, although some of them will remain at the plant until at least next Saturday.

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Raphael Grossicconducted a first inspection of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant and has reported that in a few hours of work his team managed to collect “lots of important information”.
Grossi has also stated that he saw elements during this “key” first inspection after arriving at the plant this Thursday, as reported by the Ukrainian state energy operator, Energoatom, as reported by the Ukrinform news agency.
The director-general of the IAEA left the nuclear power plant around 6 p.m. (local time). “Most members of the delegation left the premises with him,” explains Energoatom.
They would stay in the factory in Zaporizhzhya at least five representatives of the IAEA mission -out of a total of 14 members-, who download work material and stays in place until at least September 3.
The IAEA’s arrival at the plant comes after Ukraine accused Russian troops of launching air strikes on the route determined by the team of experts of the UN agency. In fact, the mayor of Energodar, Dimitro Orlov, has assured that there have been “constant bombings” since the early morning.
For its part, Russia has accused the Ukrainian authorities of trying to prevent the visit of IAEA experts and has requested that the UN Security Council will meet next Tuesday to discuss the matter.
“In light of Ukraine’s continued bombing of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and its reckless attempt to derail the IAEA mission’s site visit today, we have called for a Security Council meeting on September 6,” he said. Twitter, Dmitry Polyansky.
