Shortly before 5 p.m., the 67-year-old man suddenly fell into the right-hand bend. “He slid his motorcycle on the ground in the oncoming lane and slid into an oncoming car,” Arnoldstein Police Inspectorate officials said.
Pregnant passenger also taken to LKH
While the motorcyclist had to be flown to LKH Villach with serious injuries by the RK1 rescue helicopter, the driver of the car, a 37-year-old from Vienna, escaped with minor injuries. “His 37-year-old pregnant passenger also had to be taken to the LKH Villach for observation,” said a police officer. Significant material damage was caused to both vehicles.
