A 25-year-old was trapped in Vienna-Simmering on Thursday afternoon. The man was called to Geiselbergstrasse by an acquaintance. The 25-year-old was already expected there, but with an iron bar and a weapon.
The later victim should arrive at the agreed meeting point around 4 pm. Upon arrival, he met the 34-year-old suspect – but he was not the only one, as it turned out moments later. Another man suddenly emerged from his hiding place, armed with an iron bar.
In doing so, the unknown hit the arm and back of the 25-year-old’s head, while the second alleged perpetrator (34) grabbed a gun and aimed it at the victim’s face.
Compete for a bag
Incidentally, the perpetrators had it on the victim’s bag, but in the course of a scuffle, the 25-year-old managed to get the upper hand. With nothing left, the duo fled, got into a car and drove off.
The victim suffered minor injuries in the attack, police said. A search for the perpetrators was initially unsuccessful. One of the suspects is no longer unknown to the police, he was already known by name, it was known on Thursday. The investigation is underway.
