Two employees of an accommodation in St. Kanzian got into an argument overnight. A 26-year-old is said to have threatened and killed his 42-year-old colleague from the Spittal district in the kitchen. “The Völkermarkter injured the man and two trainees,” the police said.
26 year old hit the car
The 26-year-old then also damaged the 42-year-old’s vehicle by smashing the windshield, ripping off the side mirrors, puncturing all four tires and stabbing the driver’s seat multiple times.
Knife and cannabis seized
After reporting the crime, the knife was found on the suspect and seized. A voluntary inspection of his apartment also seized a small amount of cannabis leaves and a cannabis grinder.
The assailant jumped out the window and fled
The suspect was arrested on behalf of the Klagenfurt prosecutor’s office and interrogated at the St. Kanzian am Klopeinersee police station. He was given a temporary arms ban. The suspect asked to go to the toilet. From there, however, he fled and jumped out of a first-floor window onto a vehicle parked below. He then fled on foot in an initially unknown direction.
