The Queen is dead, long live the King: Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III are currently the most photographed figures at Madame Tussauds wax museum in London. They have big plans.
Even from a distance you can see that the wax figure of the queen must be in this room – because there are crowds in front of it. You must fight your way through before you can finally glimpse the effigy of the deceased regent: she wears her pearl-and-jeweled crown, a blue sash and a glittering dress.
With a stately expression on her face, friendly but determined, she looks back at the crowd. Photos of this landmark aren’t the only thing visitors take with them.
