According to Eustat data, 780,797 people stayed in hotel establishments in the CAV between July and August. The occupancy rate was 83% and in Gipuzkoa almost 88%.
Euskadic has the good marks for “comfortable” with 13.9% tourism in registered hotels in 2019as collected in the survey of hotel companies, the data of which was provided this Wednesday by the Basque Statistical Institute, Eustat.
In particular, 780,797 people stayed in hotels in the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV) between July and August. The data surpasses 685,117 in the same months of 2019 (up 13.9%) and 649,848 from last year (20.1% more).
In the same vein, the overnight stays between July and August of this year (1,605,078) they were 8.9% higher than in 2019 and 18.9% more than in 2021.

Similarly, Bilbao and Vitoria-Gasteiz, at 18.4% and 14.9%, lead the most significant increases in admissions; although it increased (3.6%), the increase was more moderate in San Sebastián.
The average stay of the month was August 2022 2.11 days in the Basque Country as a whole, lower than in the same month of 2021, i.e. 2.18 days.
