This strike takes place after no agreement was reached during the negotiating table on Tuesday. DC. OO., ELA and LAB modified their original proposal, which was not accepted by the employers’ association FVEM, which they criticized for their “inability” to put on the table a proposal that was in line with the requirements of the sector, as their salary offer “still does not guarantee the purchasing power of the people”.
ELA, for its part, found the new FVEM proposals “very unsatisfactory” because, in its view, they are “far removed” from guaranteeing the CPI in each year of validity, and “very far” also from the proposals ELA submitted last October 19. submitted, at the table’s previous meeting, in which he presented an offer.
Therefore, all unions have decided to maintain the planned strikes and reject the proposals of the VVEM at the meeting, who also denounced “cowardly attacks, without signature, who do nothing but the negotiation process” of the Metal de Bizkaia agreement. No call will be made on this occasion, because the unit is broken between CC. OO., LAB and UGT on the one hand, and ELA on the other, so they have declared this strike separately, in addition to the other two scheduled for October 28 and November 2.
