A child from Innviertel was injured during a traditional procession in Braunau in Upper Austria. After a medical diagnosis, the father filed a complaint alleging negligent grievous bodily harm.
The couple Kerstin and Florian K. from Geretsberg visited the Perchtenlauf in Braunau on Saturday with their children Jonas (10), Liam (4) and Marco (1). “The event started very well. Everyone was in a good mood, everything seemed peaceful. The kids really enjoyed the Krampuses, they got to attack them, punch them fist to fist and even get petted,” said Florian K.

The little ones’ fear of the gruesome fellows seemed to have vanished. Everyone enjoyed the traditional spectacle – until it was the turn of the Krampus group with number 7, a passport from Ruhpolding in Bavaria.
