Here in Austria it is the letter to the Christ Child, in the US the wish list to Santa Claus that makes children’s hearts beat faster and often gives parents the decisive clue to the right gifts.
“Plees can ib abl too trin in too a megjagwr,” Sharon MacDonald’s daughter wrote to Santa – but her mother despaired because she couldn’t decipher what it said. She then posted the letter on the internet and asked for help on social media. Well, lo and behold: the Internet community solved the wish list puzzle!

“Obviously the little one wants to turn into a mega jaguar, like in the Netflix series ‘Kipo’,” one user wrote. The concrete fulfillment of this wish will be impossible. But at least the loving mother now knows what her daughter wants.
