US President Joe Biden has made it a condition that he would be willing to speak with Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin. Speaking at a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron, Biden said, “I am willing to talk to Mr. Putin if he actually shows an interest in finding a way to end the war. He hasn’t done that yet.”
“Let me choose my words very carefully,” Biden said at the press conference, pondering how best to express himself. The precondition for a talk with Putin is his willingness to end hostilities in Ukraine. However, Biden made it clear he wouldn’t just try to make conversation.
Macron wants to keep in touch with Putin for concrete goals
Biden promised to act only in consultation with NATO allies. He will not do anything that harms Ukraine’s interests. Meanwhile, Biden’s state guest Macron said he would remain in talks with the Russian president to avoid an escalation and to achieve specific goals, such as protecting nuclear power plants.

Biden condemned the violence with which Russia acts: “I knew Russia was ruthless.
