In the past week, several burglaries have been reported in the municipality of Wolfurt in Vorarlberg – motorcycles have been stolen and cars have been emptied, among others. Now the police have arrested the alleged perpetrator.
There was a lot going on at Wolfurt police station last weekend. Several residents reported theft – sometimes a motorcycle was stolen from an underground car park, sometimes a car was broken into, sometimes a basement box was emptied.
The agents then started the investigation and within a few days were able to track down a suspect, a 28-year-old Austrian. The alleged thief has been arrested and the stolen goods have been seized.
In the course of the interrogations, the man, who confessed in full, also admitted to being responsible for other crimes – again including motorcycle theft. The resulting damage amounts to some 43,000 euros. The 28-year-old will be reported to the prosecutor’s office in Feldkirch after completion of the investigation.
