Aena unions threaten a strike at Hego Euskal Herria airports before Christmas

DC. OO., USO and UGT point out that Aena employees have been waiting for the amounts due to them since 2018; If no response was received to them, there would be strikes from 08:00 to 00:00 on December 16, 17, 22 and 23 and January 6 and 8, and 24 hours on December 31.

The CC unions. OO., USO and UGT of Aena made one strike announcement in the Hego Euskal Herria airports for this next one Christmas. The strike, which would be declared at all airports in the Spanish state, depends on whether or not Aena responds to the amounts owed by workers since 2018; in case of no responsethe days December 16, 17, 22 and 23 and January 6 and 8 there would be interruptions between 08:00 and 00:00while on December 31, the strike was to last for 24 hours.

Loiu Airport Works Council President José Manuel Lorenzo confirmed to EITB Media that the appeal would affect around 170 professionals from Bilbao airport, although he is confident that Aena is “rethinking” so there is no need to strike.
