Alcohol in the game – thief got stuck with car on slope in snow

Date:

A very strange incident happened on Saturday in Liezen aan de Planai: an initially unknown perpetrator stole a car in front of a ski hut and eventually got stuck in the snow with the vehicle. The heavily intoxicated driver had confused the track with the road.

What the 19-year-old thought of this action is still a mystery. The fact is that the boy stole a 49-year-old’s vehicle and ended his journey in the middle of the snow. His alcoholism and the snowfall may have caused him to mistake the groomed ski slope for the paved mountain road.

The woman left the car with the engine running
The incident happened after the woman parked her car but left the engine running and hurried back to the ski lodge to get something. The 19-year-old looked at them and took the opportunity to get the car and drive towards the valley. But he didn’t get far.

Thief no longer knew where the car was
When the 49-year-old noticed that her car was suddenly gone, she called the police and reported the theft. Shortly afterwards, the 19-year-old thief was already standing next to her and stated that he did not know where he had left the vehicle. It turned out that his car got stuck in the snow. Two snow clearers from the Planai-Bahnen were able to recover the stuck car and get it back on the road. Numerous administrative and criminal charges now await the young man.
