Fled unknown – collision on the ski slope: holidaymakers (51) unconscious

Terrible winter sports accident Monday afternoon in Sölden in Tyrol: Two skiers collided with serious consequences on a slope, after which an Italian (51) fell and remained unconscious. The other party fled. Police are now looking for witnesses.

The fatal collision took place around 2:30 p.m. in Sölden on the blue run No. 15 on the Giggijoch. As reported by police, the 51-year-old Italian collided with an unidentified skier. The first fell and momentarily lost consciousness.

Ski instructor raised the alarm
“A ski instructor alerted the slope rescue service, who then gave the man first aid and then took him to a doctor,” the investigators say. The second winter sports enthusiast involved simply drove on without leaving his details.

The foreigner or witnesses to the accident must report to the Sölden police inspection on 059 133/7108.
