The New Year’s Eve celebrations in the center of Vienna are already in full swing. The traditional New Year’s Eve run marked the start in the morning. crown.at already has the first pictures. The New Year’s Eve trail begins at 2 p.m. – after a two-year break due to the pandemic. Six stages and a total of 70 hours of (music) program await the guests. There are no fireworks.

Free entrance
This year, visitors can look forward to a 12-hour spectacle in the heart of the city. Celebrations are held at a total of six locations in the city with free admission. The more than 70-hour stage program starts on New Year’s Eve at 2 p.m. and lasts until 2 a.m. The gastro is open since 11am. The trail stretches for 1.5 kilometers from Freyung via Am Hof Square, Graben, Stephansplatz and Kärntner Straße to Neuer Markt. The town hall square is not included this time.
Numerous restaurateurs provide guests with culinary delights and, in addition to food, offer drinks and, of course, sparkling wine to toast the New Year together at midnight. There will be no fireworks this year, “in the interest of people, animals and the environment,” according to the City of Vienna Marketing.
