Distracted by the mobile phone – without a driver’s license: the driver crashes into the police car

Because a man from Klagenfurt was distracted by his mobile phone on Thursday, the 56-year-old ended up in oncoming traffic and collided with a police car. The man from Klagenfurt was driving without a driver’s license.

Shortly after 4 p.m., while driving, the mobile phone of the Klagenfurt rang. Distracted by his mobile phone, the 56-year-old did not notice the vehicles in front of him slowing down. To avoid a rear-end collision, the man from Klagenfurt jerked his steering wheel to the left into the oncoming lane, hitting the car of a 23-year-old man from Klagenfurt and then an oncoming police car.

Traveling without a driver’s license
“No one was injured in the accident and there was significant damage to all vehicles involved,” police said. A police investigation revealed that the 56-year-old driver was driving without a driver’s license. In addition, the sticker on the car from Klagenfurt had expired.
