The Russian army needs to be rebuilt
The Russian army carried out several attacks on Saturday, including on the region around the capital Kiev, on Lviv (Lemberg) in the west and Kharkov in the east. Ukrainian energy infrastructure was hit in a targeted manner and power was lost in many places.

The Kremlin recently called for an increase in Russia’s armed forces from 1.15 to 1.4 million. In addition, there will be structural changes, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced on Tuesday. Two large territorial units will be created, combining different weapons – the Moscow and Leningrad military districts. Independent military units will also be set up in Ukrainian territories annexed by Russia.

In addition, an army corps will be established in the North Russian Republic of Karelia, possibly in response to the planned NATO accession of the Scandinavian countries of Sweden and Finland. According to Schogiu, there are also plans to strengthen the combat capabilities of the fleet, air force and missile forces. The process is expected to be completed between 2023 and 2026.
