Unknown burglars were out on mischief in the Tyrolean Oberland on Saturday evening: the perpetrators broke into a residential building and searched several rooms. When the owners returned home, the criminals were still in the building. They fled – there was still contact in front of the house.
Between 5.30 pm and 6.30 pm, two unknown burglars gained access to the house in Stams in the Tyrolean district of Imst through a tilted basement window. “The culprit then ransacked the upstairs living quarters and stole money and jewelry,” police said.
“Brief contact for the house”
But then the criminals were disturbed. The homeowners came home. The burglars may have been in the building at the time. “There was finally a short contact in front of the house,” the detectives continue. Then the crook duo fled.
Police are hoping for clues
Unfortunately, an exact description of the perpetrator is not available. Only so much: the two people wore hoodies and were about five feet tall. The exact amount of damage cannot be quantified to date.
