Republican woman faints at PK

Date:

The unknown Republican Rollan Roberts II from the US state of West Virginia recently announced his candidacy for the highest office in the United States. But his inaugural speech a few days ago was overshadowed by a health incident. Roberts’ pregnant wife fainted in front of cameras during the press conference and fell to the floor.

The businessman and author of the book just explained what voters should vote for. Roberts II counted among his goals to increase the life expectancy of the population to 100 years. Suddenly wife Rebecca Lea started to stagger and fell forward. A deployed American flag also fell down with her. Rebecca’s husband initially just stood by the lectern and stared at the fainting woman. It was only when several people present rushed to help the woman that the politician began to take care of his wife.

Hesitant help with criticism
The video of this incident (see tweet below) not only earned the campaigner encouraging comments on social media. His hesitant approach was widely criticized. “He just stood there and looked at her like she was interrupting him,” one user complained. To make matters worse, the recording of the speech on Roberts’ Facebook page was edited shortly after to obscure the incident. One follower commented, “Nice that you cut out the part where your wife passed out at 7:30 (…). Well, you were the fifth person to come to her rescue then.

Just a fainting spell
Incidentally, Rebecca Lea Roberts quickly recovered from the incident. Apparently it was just a fainting spell. Her husband was able to continue the appointment after a short break. However, a successful start looks different. In the American media, the man who has never held public office has no chance of being shortlisted for the Republican nomination.
