Suspect in custody – grandpa on the hunt: 67-year-old serial burglar

Date:

Crime knows no age limit – that was proven once again in Tyrol! The Kripo was able to investigate a 67-year-old resident who would have been “busy” in recent months with a burglary tour in Innsbruck and Hall. No less than twelve coups should go to his account. The suspect is now in custody.

Between November 10 and the end of January, there were repeated break-ins in shops in Innsbruck. In all cases, the front doors were forced open. Due to the accumulation of crimes, the police took over – close investigations were started.

Tracks matched, videos evaluated
“In the course of complex track comparisons, video evaluations and other investigations, nine burglaries in the city of Innsbruck and another three business burglaries in the city of Hall were ultimately proven to be a 67-year-old Austrian,” the police said.

The suspect was arrested and taken to Innsbruck prison. The 67-year-old suspect confessed extensively to the burglaries,” the detectives continued. He has since been taken into custody.
