Arrest at the airport – Austrian threatens 25 years in prison in Australia!

Date:

An Austrian woman risks 25 years in prison in Australia: she wanted to enter the country with 124 drug bullets worth 320,000 euros in her stomach and was arrested at Perth Airport.

Apparently out of greed, a young Austrian woman tried to smuggle a kilogram of cocaine worth 500,000 Australian dollars (the equivalent of about 320,000 euros) from Europe to Australia. She even risked her life for this: because the quite athletic woman swallowed no less than 124 cocaine balls sealed in plastic foil.

Re-swallowed “lost” bullets in the plane
But there was already a glitch aboard the plane: As Australian investigators discovered, the “bodypacker” must have had major problems with her delicate cargo in her stomach while still in the air. She “lost” eight of the drug bullets. But that didn’t stop her from swallowing the previously secreted pack of cocaine again. After landing in Perth, the last stop was the baggage check, where the Australian drug hunters targeted the nervous-looking Austrian. To ensure that the suspect does not take drugs already taken to the fifth continent, she was admitted to the Royal Perth Hospital.

And after an x-ray, the cocaine dealer was exposed. It took the 27-year-old woman two full days to excrete all 124 plastic beads. But as disgusting as such drug stories may sound, the punishment facing cocaine smugglers in Australia is harsh. If the smuggler is convicted by the Perth Magistrates’ Court on March 10, she risks no less than 25 (!) years in prison. That is, she is imprisoned as a young woman and only comes out of the cell as an older woman – a high price for a smuggling trip.

“Drugs in the body are not worth the risk of death!”
“Drugs in the digestive tract are not only a huge health hazard. If a bullet bursts, it can be fatal or at least cause permanent internal organ damage,” warns Police Chief Kate Ferry.
