Serious shock for a family in Birkfeld in Styria! On Thursday evening, while working in the barn, a three-year-old girl fell from the hayloft onto the concrete floor and was seriously injured.
The little girl and her siblings eagerly helped their parents with the stable work. After throwing hay from the hayloft for the cows, the little girl and her siblings wanted to go down a steep staircase. Then it happened: she lost her balance, fell about eight feet and hit the concrete floor.
First aid measures were immediately taken. After further care by an emergency doctor, the seriously injured child was flown by rescue helicopter to the children’s hospital and admitted to hospital there.
