Eventful search Monday morning in the district of Melk in Lower Austria: the emergency services searched the ground and in the air for the escaped animal. After two hours, the bull was finally located and stopped.
Did he have any idea what awaited him? Because it seems like he wants to escape his fate. After a bull escaped from a slaughterhouse in Ruprechtshofen, the alarmed fire brigade, together with the police, hunters and employees of the slaughterhouse, conducted an eventful search in the Melk district shortly before 5 a.m. on Monday morning. Due to the darkness, thermal imaging cameras were also used to locate the busy animal.
Air search
The bull would have been the first on the road in the settlement area. After building by building had been searched here, the search continued from the air. The fire brigade’s drone was able to locate the animal in the open field around 6:45 am.
To prevent further dangerous situations, the bull was stopped by a safe shot from a slaughterhouse worker and hunter.
