An 18-year-old was stabbed on the street in Wels on Easter Sunday and had to undergo emergency surgery. Now he is out of danger, according to the Wels-Grieskirchen clinic.
The 18-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. At the intersection of Kreuzpointstraße and Flotzingerplatz, a stranger stabbed him in the stomach with a knife. The seriously injured man was taken to a nearby hospital by a 17-year-old friend and operated on.
From there it is now: the stabbing victim is out of danger, but is still in intensive care. The patient is now responding.
No trace of the culprit
There is still no trace of the attacker. However, the police should now be able to question the victim – and derive possible clues to the perpetrator.
