21-year-old crashed with tractor
Another tragic accident ended for a 21-year-old in the municipality of Afritz am See with serious injuries in the Klagenfurt clinic. At around 1:15 p.m., he used a tractor and attached manure spreader to deliver manure to a pasture on his father’s farm. “When he drove uphill, he could not get any further with the team and slid about 100 meters down the valley. In the area of the Tauchberger municipal road, the team fell over a steep embankment and rolled over several times,” says the Police.
Although the tractor came to a stop on all four wheels on a municipal road, the 21-year-old was trapped in the driver’s cab and had to be freed with mountain shears. He was taken to hospital by a rescue helicopter. 30 men from the surrounding fire brigades were deployed.
