A violent accident took place in the municipality of Großarl im Pongau in Salzburg on Saturday night. There a motorist hit a pedestrian. He was left lying in the stream with serious injuries.
The 26-year-old Pongauer drove his car on the Grossarler Landesstraße (L109). He caught a pedestrian from Germany under the influence. The 38-year-old was pushed into the Grossarler Arche by the impact.
Passers-by noticed the accident
There he lay in the river bed. Shocked, the driver jumped out of his car and, together with passers-by, pulled the seriously injured man out of the stream. The injured man received emergency medical attention and was taken to the Cardinal Schwarzenberg Clinic.
A breath test at the Pongauer accident driver then brought the certainty: 1.58 promille! The Pongauer had to hand in his driver’s license. There’s an ad waiting for him.
