Two young people had a bitter prank on Thursday afternoon in Vienna’s Grillgasse district. The two perpetrators fired air rifles at their neighbours. They had previously suspected that stones had been thrown at them.
Passers-by near Grillgasse called the police because they suspected stones had been thrown at them from a window or roof. They suffered minor, bleeding injuries. The police immediately started an investigation at the suspected residential building. A 21-year-old and a 22-year-old were in an apartment on the top floor. However, the youths denied having anything to do with the crime.
Three air rifles seized
However, officers saw an air rifle in the apartment. In addition, a balcony door to Grillgasse was open. A total of three air rifles were found in the apartment. In addition, in the Grillgasse area, where the passers-by were hit, parts of ammunition that corresponded to the weapons found could be secured.
Perpetrators have partially confessed
The 21 and 22-year-olds have been arrested. Finally, the two partially confessed to the crime. After consultation with the public prosecutor’s office in Vienna, they were transferred to a prison. The three injured went to medical care independently to determine the severity of the injuries.
