The horror of all parents became reality on Friday in Tyrol’s Zillertal: a pram carrying a twin girl rolled in front of a rural estate. The terrain in front of the building drops steeply and fate took its course…
The incident happened around 2:15 p.m. at a mountain farm in Ramsau. “The mother wanted to get her twins ready for a walk and went back into the house for a while,” says a Krone police spokesman. At that moment the pram with the girls (ten weeks old) suddenly started moving and rolled faster and faster down the slope.
Children thrown out of the car
There are no witnesses, but after about 30 meters the small children were thrown from the car and it may have flipped over. One girl suffered serious injuries, the second seriously. “The children were each taken away by helicopter,” says the police spokesperson. In addition to the Heli 3 and Heli 4, the Red Cross was also deployed with a number of aid workers and a crisis intervention team.
