Tragic incident in St. Kathrein am Hauenstein: A 53-year-old farmer fell into a cesspool and died.
The deceased lived with his mother in an agricultural yard at the church bar in St. Kathrein am Hauenstein. Because he didn’t come for breakfast today, the mother and a neighbor contacted a firefighter and asked for help. The local police station in Raten was also informed of the missing persons via the fire service.

An inspection at the farm found a fallen window box near a cesspool. Due to this fact, the local fire department and neighboring farmers pumped out the well and found the 53-year-old.
For the final clarification of the incident, the Graz prosecutor’s office ordered an autopsy. The mother, other family members and neighbors were taken care of by a crisis intervention team.
