Chick injured – Lower Austria: Police rescued duck family on B43

On Wednesday morning, the police in Traismauer (Lower Austria) were called for an extraordinary operation. A duck family wanted to cross the B43. However, due to the heavy traffic, the venture proved impossible. However, with the active support of the police, the duck family safely waddled across the street.

A courageous duck family dared to take the B43 in the Traismauer urban area. But crossing the street turned out to be more difficult than expected due to the hectic traffic. The agents were quickly on the scene and guided the animal family safely over the dangerous road. During the rescue operation, traffic was temporarily halted until the family could be taken to a safe green area.

Privately looks after chicks
During the animal rescue operation, an injured duckling was also noticed, which was not with the family. The chick is cared for by a private individual who has been approached through a veterinarian.
