The high toll of blood on Austria’s roads leaves no one cold, with five people killed in accidents in the past week alone. Two more were killed on Tuesday night. More than 140 road deaths have been reported since the beginning of the year, according to the Interior Ministry. Each of these accidents has its own course, history and cause. A few hours after his driver’s license test, a 17-year-old caused a fatal traffic accident in Altenberg near Linz on Tuesday evening.
