A trip to Hintersee in the summer of 2020 on Thursday prompted the jury trial in the regional court: a Hungarian had shown his tattoos there, including dozens of Nazi symbols.
Numerical codes, Nazi symbols, letters and war motifs: a Hungarian (35) had such motifs all over his body – back, arms, legs. The suit wearer, tattooed up to the neck, was three years ago, in the summer of 2020, with his girlfriend at the Hintersee in Salzburg’s Flachgau. The bathing excursion ended with a police action: a bather had seen the relevant tattoos of the 35-year-old. Well, on Thursday, the worker, who lives in Hungary, had to meet the jury in Salzburg.
confession in court
The public prosecutor spoke of “unmistakable” symbols. The man also admitted to the charge of reactivation under the 3G Prohibition Act: “I don’t share these ideas anymore.” Between the ages of 16 and 24 he had these motifs engraved – at that time he was also part of an extreme Hungarian group. Now he’s gone and considering getting the tattoos retouched.
A guilty verdict followed and a suspended sentence, in addition to a previous conviction for narcotics: a total of two and a half years suspended prison sentence.
